How zanhogan is responding to COVID-19

We are keeping a close eye on the latest news about the COVID-19 pandemic, just as you are, and have taken several steps to serve you — the HH community and communities at large — as safely as possible. Here is what we are doing and what hasn’t changed in our commitment to you:

 1.  All zanhogan employees are working remotely.
2.  We are still shipping worldwide, although many carriers are experiencing delays due to high demand and added safety measures. Due to the evolving global situation, international customers should expect additional delays on standard/economy service. Scroll down to “Our Shipping Services” for further details and specific restrictions.
3.  In the third week of March we donated a portion of our sales to LaunchGood’s COVID-19 Emergency Response campaign.
4.  We launched a campaign to donate 250 hijabs to Healthcare professionals which reached maximum capacity in less than an hour!
5.  Due to the overwhelming response, we opened up the campaign for our community to purchase hijabs to donate to healthcare professionals. Since then, we have donated over 1,000 hijabs in total. (Please note that donations are now closed.)
6.  We are focused on COVID-19-focused content on our blog to help you navigate this difficult time.

How we are helping to flatten the curve

Thankfully, zanhogan does not have any stores to close. We are caring for our employees by heeding precautions from the Centers for Disease Control, the World Health Organization and local governments. All our employees who can work from home are doing so.

Our fulfillment center

Our Fulfillment Center is in Texas, so our team there is closely monitoring statewide guidelines and following the most up-to-date restrictions. Fortunately for our community, the Fulfillment Center remains open, as it is deemed an essential business. Employees there are quarantining at home when not at work; if they feel ill, they are instructed not to come to work. Moreover, our packing stations are six feet apart and dedicated to a single fulfillment officer to reduce the chance of exposure.

Our shipping services

As of now, both our domestic and international services are continuing to operate. Please be advised that carriers are unfortunately experiencing delays due to high demand and added safety measures. While most delays should be minor, international economy shipping via Passport may experience longer delays of up to 30 days. Should there be any additional updates from any of our carriers, we will continue to keep this page updated with the latest information.

As always, we are here to help with any shipping-related concerns — just send us an email at [email protected] and we’ll get right on it!

USPS International Sortation Center Delays

Delays are beginning to shorten at all ISCs, and are close to being current with export volume. Delays at all 3 sortation centers (Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York) are within 1-2 days of being current.

Destination Country Scanning Issues

We have been alerted that some destination countries practicing contactless delivery have suspended written proof of delivery, which means that accurate delivery scan data may not be provided. This applies to parcels bound for Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, The Netherlands, Singapore, and Russia.

Updated 8/31/2020The following is a comprehensive list of countries experiencing shipment restrictions. As always, the safe and timely delivery of your orders are our topmost priority. Our carriers are closely monitoring the ongoing situation and taking measures to ensure that any packages that cannot be delivered due to government restrictions are safely held at postal facilities until the relevant restrictions have been lifted.

The following countries have suspended ALL delivery services. (Please note that if you have a shipment already en route to one of these countries, it will be safely held at the Passport/APC export center, or at a local postal facility in the destination country, until the relevant restrictions are eased and it can be safely delivered to you.) American Samoa, Azerbaijan, Bolivia, Botswana, Brunei, Burundi, Cambodia, Cayman Islands, Chad, Cook Islands, Costa Rica, Cuba, Democratic Republic Of The Congo, Dominica, East Timor, Ecuador, Fiji, Guinea, Honduras, Iraq, Jordan, Kiribati, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Latvia, Lebanon, Liberia, Libya, Libyan Arab Jamahiriya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritania, Mauritius, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nigeria, Palestine, Panama, Papua New Guinea, Republic Of Congo, Samoa, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Sint Maarten, Solomon Islands, South Africa, South Sudan, Sudan, Swaziland (Eswatini), Tajikistan, Tansania, Timor-Leste, Tonga, Turkmenistan, Turks & Caicos, Uzbekistan, Vanuatu, Venezuela, and Yemen

If your country is NOT on the above list, both economy and express shipping services are available, but economy options may be delayed. Many countries with previous suspensions are still experiencing delays even as things open back up due to the backlog from the service suspension. If you have questions or concerns about current delivery estimates to your shipping address, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us and we’ll be happy to help.

If you have any questions or concerns, just email [email protected]. We are also available via our social media platforms – Instagram, Facebook and Twitter – to answer your questions.

In the meantime, here is a du’a we can all recite after every prayer or at any time. May Allah (S) have mercy on us and protect us all.
